Chance’s Random Act of Kindness
Only an hour after we had left the hospital, we received a phone call from the North Carolina Eye Bank. They were calling because Chance’s heart was a perfect candidate to be a donor heart and they wanted to know if we would be willing to donate. Kyle and I talked and we decided that it was not our heart to give or keep, Chance would not have wanted another family to go through the loss that we were. So Chance’s last physical gift and random act of kindness was giving his heart up to an unknown family.
Random Acts of Kindness
Chance’s story is one to be celebrated and remembered by the people who loved him. Random Acts of Kindness provide hope for others that may be struggling with something unknown to their peers. Share your RAKs with us here or on our Facebook page to help give hope to others, like our Chance did. Whether it be paying for a stranger’s cup of coffee, adding change to a bucket outside of a store, or just taking time for your family and doing something together, RAKs can help to make someone’s day just a little bit brighter.
